Launched to empower and inspire, the Ajyal Film Festival is truly a celebration of film at its finest. For over a decade, Ajyal has built bridges and brought generations together to enjoy the very best in cinema from around the world and exciting city-wide experiences such as Geekdom, Ajyal Tunes and multimedia exhibitions. The eleventh edition of our annual event will take place from 8–16 November 2023, and we are now looking for the incredible people that make it all possible—our volunteers!
Why volunteer?
We would never be able to mount this world-class event without the invaluable contributions of our dedicated volunteers. There are many ways volunteers can get involved at the festival—help our events team behind the scenes, assist in running our cinemas, or engage with young jurors from around the world. Come and be part of this exciting cultural event, gain valuable experience and form lasting relationships.

Who can apply to volunteer?
People with all kinds of skills and all levels of experience are invited to apply, so whether you are a college student, a mid-career professional, or a retiree, we’d love to work with you. All volunteers are required to commit to 6 shifts during the nine-day festival. Each shift lasts between 4 and 6 hours. You can volunteer before the festival, during the festival, or both, depending on your availability. Please note that our Volunteer Programme is open to all Qatar residents over the age of 18.
Shortly after receiving your application, the Ajyal Volunteer Team will invite you to one of our Volunteer Meet and Greets.
Upon assignment of a volunteer position, you will be individually notified to attend the Volunteer Orientation for your assigned department.

Kindly note that you can have one role at the Festival. If you have already applied in the Ajyal Jury Programme you cannot be a volunteer as well.
