Welcome to www.dohafilminstitute.com (the “Website”) and/or the DFI mobile application (the “Application”) operated by the Doha Film Institute (“DFI”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). The Website and Application are intended to enable visitors to the Website and/or the Application(“you” or “your”) to view and learn about us and our films. DFI is a non-profit organisation dedicated to film appreciation, education, and building a dynamic film industry in Qatar that focuses on nurturing regional storytellers while being entirely global in its scope. With education culture, community, and entertainment at its foundation, DFI serves as an all-encompassing film hub in Doha, as well as a resource for the region and the rest of the world. 1. Use.

Please read these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”) carefully before accessing the Website and/or the Application. By accessing the Website and/or the Application, you acknowledge and agree that you have read these Terms of Use, are at least eighteen (18) years of age, and will be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms of Use. If you are under eighteen (18) years of age you must obtain your parents’ or guardian’s consent to use this Website and/or Application. Additional terms and conditions may apply to certain portions of the Website and/or Application, and your use of such portions of the Website and/or Application indicates your agreement to such terms and conditions. DFI reserves the right to modify the Terms of Use at any time. We will indicate that changes to these Terms of Use have been made by updating the date indicated after “Last Modified” at the end of these Terms of Use. You agree to review these Terms of Use periodically to be aware of such modifications. You further agree that your continued use of the Website and/or Application shall be deemed to be your conclusive acceptance of any modified Terms of Use. If you do not agree to abide by any modified version of this Terms of Use, you are not authorized to use this Website and/or Application. A current version of the Terms of Use is accessible via the footer of the Website’s homepage or via the page of the Application.

2. User Accounts

2.1 User Registrations — Accurate Information. In order to make use of certain functionality on the Website and Application and/or purchase our products, you may need to register and create a user account on the Website or Application (“Account”). You agree to provide us with accurate, complete and current information at all times. You may receive an activation email which will enable us to confirm your email address and to make sure that you will receive any correspondence such as receipts for online purchases.

2.2 User ID — Password. Website and Application users who create an Account will obtain a user ID and password (“Profile”). You agree not to allow any third party to use your Profile to access the Website and Application and to safeguard the information that would allow another person or entity to access the Website and Application by using your Account. You agree to be responsible for your failure to safeguard such information and/or to allow any other person or entity to access the Website and Application by using your Profile or otherwise using your Account. No part of a Profile or Account may be transferred or sold to another party by you. You agree to notify DFI immediately of any unauthorized use of your Profile, Account or the Website and/or Application. You agree that DFI shall not be liable for any loss that results from the unauthorized use of your Profile or Account, either with or without your knowledge.

2.3 Revocation of User Accounts — You agree that DFI has the right to cancel your Account and/or revoke your Profile for any reason at any time, in our sole discretion, and you agree that DFI shall have the right to take appropriate administrative and/or legal action, including criminal prosecution, to protect our interests.

3. Copyright, Patents and other Intellectual Property Rights.

All content contained on the Website and the Application, including but not limited to video, clips, photographs, text, graphics, logos, icons, images and software (collectively, “Content”), is the property of DFI , its affiliates and/or their respective licensors and is protected by Qatar and/or international copyright laws, or other intellectual property laws. Any reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display or performance of the Content contained on the Website and/or Application is strictly prohibited. However, unless otherwise expressly prohibited on or in association with the Content, you may print copies of any Content or portion thereof contained on the Website and/or Application for your personal use only. If you use material appearing on the Website and/or Application contrary as set forth in the Terms of Use, you may be liable for infringement, misappropriation or other causes of action that may be exercised against you the fullest extent of the law.

4. Trademarks.

Unless otherwise indicated, all names, graphics, designs, logos, page headers, button icons, scripts, commercial markings, trade dress, and service names included in the Website and Application are trademarks of DFI or its licensors or suppliers (collectively, the “Trademarks”) and are protected by the trademark laws of Qatar and other jurisdictions. You may not use, copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify or post any Trademarks in any way, including in advertising or publicity pertaining to or distribution of materials on the Website or Application, without our prior written consent. The Trademarks may not be used in any manner that is likely to cause confusion, or in any manner that disparages or discredits us.

5. Content Generated by Users.

In certain areas on the Website and Application, you may be able to post reviews, comments, photos, submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information (“User Generated Content”). You may post User Generated Content provided such content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties.

You hereby agree not to use the Website and/or Application as a platform to:

Bully, intimidate, threaten or harass any user.
Upload, post, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, defamatory, pornographic, contains nudity, hateful, incites violence, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy or is otherwise objectionable;
Upload, post, or otherwise make available any content that you do not have a right to make available, including any confidential information;
Upload post, or otherwise make available any content that infringes any intellectual property rights of any party;
Upload photographs or other personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent;
Upload, post or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail”, “spam”, “chain letters” or mass mailings;
Upload, post or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other malicious code; and
Upload, post or otherwise make available any political or religious lobbying or statements for commercial advantage.

DFI reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content, but does not regularly review posted content. If you do post content or submit User Generated Content, and unless we indicate otherwise, you hereby grant DFI a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media. You grant DFI and sublicensees the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that the content is accurate; that use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity; and that you will indemnify DFI for all claims resulting from content you supply. If you do not wish to grant this licence to DFI, please do not submit User Generated Content.

DFI has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. DFI takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.

6. Website Purchases and Ticketing Policies.

6.1 Ticket Policies and Venue Procedures. — All ticket sales are subject to the following:

All ticket holders must be present in line at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Entry may be refused if you fail to be present on time.
The right of admission is reserved. DFI reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove from the venue any persons who are drunk, inappropriately attired or whose conduct is disorderly or abusive. Any person who causes a disturbance or who refuses to comply with reasonable requests from DFI or venue operators will be removed from the venue. Entry may be refused for tickets that are defaced, damaged or not purchased through DFI or its authorised outlets.
For events that are subject to minimum age restrictions/ratings, DFI reserves the right to require presentation of photo identification to confirm an individual’s age and to refuse entry to any person not meeting the required minimum age, or unable to produce original photo identification.
Tickets for online sales can be collected at the Box Office locations identified for the specific event. Ticket holders must produce valid identification and the receipt emailed to the email address provided at registration. Please keep the receipt secure. DFI shall not be responsible for duplicate copies of the receipt and only the first copy provided to DFI shall allow the bearer access to tickets.
Vouchers are not sufficient for entry to the event. Vouchers must be submitted to a Box Office location and a ticket issued. Please keep the voucher secure. DFI shall not be responsible for lost or duplicate copies of the voucher. The first voucher presented shall entitle the bearer to receive tickets.
All Voucher, Pass and Cardholders must present a ticket to access events; vouchers, pass or card alone does not grant admission, unless otherwise noted.
Students must present valid ID to receive discount, when available, on tickets. Student discounts are only applicable for the student card holder and not for other family members or friends. DFI reserves the right to deny discounts to anyone at any time or charge the difference between full priced tickets and any student prices purchased in violation of this requirement.
Ticket holders, Pass Holders and Card Holders hereby agree and provide their consent to DFI and its designees to utilise their image or likeness in connection with any live or recorded transmission or reproduction of the event to which the ticket relates. Specifically by attending an event and entering a venue, you understand and agree that you may be filmed and/or recorded and you hereby consent to DFI using your image and likeness in any and all media for any purpose. Ticket holders, Pass Holders and Card Holders voluntarily assume all risks incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether having occurred prior to, during or after the same at the event and any other related function. Ticket holders, Pass Holders and Card Holders voluntarily agree that the facility, DFI and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employees are expressly released by holder from any claims arising from the event to which the ticket relates, unless such exclusion is prohibited by law.
Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of DFI, be resold or offered for resale (including via online auction sites) or used for advertising or promotion or other commercial purposes (including prizes in competitions). Any tickets sold or used in this manner may be declared void and entry refused for the ticket holder.
Any and all audio or video recording and/or photography is strictly prohibited at the event. The use of all personal electronic devices including but not limited to cell phones, cameras, handheld recorders, MP3 devices, audio and video recording equipment is strictly prohibited at the event. DFI will actively monitor the venue for such equipment and any person found to be using recording equipment within the venue will be ejected from the venue and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent permitted by law.
For security purposes, it may be a condition of entry to certain venues or events that individuals submit themselves to a search or person and/or their possessions.
Rush sales are not available at all events. Where rush sales are available for sold out events, rush sales lines will form at the event venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admission will begin approximately 5 minutes before program start time based on availability. Admission is not guaranteed. Rush sales are CASH ONLY and limited to one ticket per person.
For same-day ticket sales please review the website for the event to locate available Box Office locations and the opening and closing time.
Customers may purchase a maximum of six (6) tickets per event per online transaction.
Smoking is strictly prohibited at any DFI event and in all venues.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds, exchanges or reprints.

6.2 Online Products. — Tickets to screenings and other products for events of DFI are offered for sale through the DFI Website. In the event you wish to purchase any of these products on line, you will be asked by DFI or an authorized third party on DFI’s behalf to supply your personal information, including without limitation, your full name, address and credit card information. You agree to provide us or such third party with accurate, complete and current information at all times, and to comply with the terms and conditions of any ancillary agreement that you may enter into which governs your purchase of such service. You shall be responsible for all charges made under your profile as well as for paying any applicable taxes. All transactions made for ticket sales will be charged in Qatari Riyals (QAR).

6.3 Payment. — Your right to any product that is available for purchase through the DFI Website is conditional on our receipt of the appropriate payment for such product. If such payment cannot be charged to your credit card or if a charge is refunded for any reason, including chargeback, you agree that we reserve the right to cancel your order and/or suspend or terminate your account. We use a third party payment provider to process payments. All payments are processed by this third party’s payment gateway which provides a secure method for authorizing card transactions over the Internet. This third party provider is responsible for the capture and use of your credit card details. We do not have access to your credit card information and we are not responsible for any misuse of your credit card information. You hereby agree that you shall not use any credit card which you are not authorised to use. Where you are using a parents or guardians credit card, you hereby agree that your parent or guardian shall submit the relevant information and make the online payment. Receipts of purchases shall be emailed to you at the email address provided at registration.

6.4 Risk of Loss. — You acknowledge and agree that your only remedy for failures, delays or interruptions with respect to the ordering of and delivery of products ordered by you through the Website is limited to a refund for such products, in DFI’s sole discretion. All products ordered through the Website are acquired by you "as is" and "where is".

6.5 Product Descriptions. — We attempt to be as accurate as possible in describing products (including pricing) offered for purchase through the Website; however, we do not warrant that all such descriptions are complete, current or error-free. DFI reserves the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute products and/or vary advertised programs, prices, venues, seating arrangements and audience capacity.

6.6 Returns. — All tickets sold to you by DFI on DFI’s Website are final and no refund or exchange on any ticket except as required by law shall apply. If a refund is made, DFI may, to the extent permitted by law, retain any fee it has charged. No ticket reprints are available.

7. Links.

DFI and/or third parties may provide links to other websites of possible interest to you. Because we have no control over such websites, you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the availability of such websites and do not endorse and are not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, services, products, or other materials on or available from such websites. You also acknowledge and agree that DFI shall not, to the fullest extent permitted by law, be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, advertising, services, products, or other materials on or available from such websites. All such websites shall be subject to the policies and procedures of the owner of such websites.

8. Disclaimer of warranties.

8.1 — You acknowledge and agree that your use of the Website and Application is at your sole risk. DFI does not make any representation or warranty (i) as to the accuracy, correctness, completeness or usefulness of any content appearing on the Website and Application and is not responsible for any errors or omissions in any content appearing on the Website and/or Application, or (ii) generally for the accuracy, reliability, or quality of any content appearing on the Website and Application. DFI is not responsible for any failures, delays or interruptions of the Website and/or Application. The website is provided to you "as is" and DFI makes no representation or warranty of any kind to you, either express or implied. Specifically, DFI disclaims any implied warranties of title, non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose.

8.2 — You acknowledge and agree that under no circumstances will DFI be liable for any loss or damage caused by your reliance on content obtained through the Website and/or Application or caused by your conduct. DFI does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the Website or Application, and the operation of the Website and Application may be interfered with by numerous factors outside of our control.

9. Limitation of liability.

9.1 — In no event shall DFI be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website and/or Application, including without limitation for lost profits or business, or anticipated lost profits or business, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. DFI’s or its affiliates aggregate liability to you or any third party in any circumstance arising out of or related to the Website and Application or this agreement is limited to Five Thousand Qatari Riyals (QAR 5,000).

9.2 — Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation or exclusion of liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Accordingly, some of the above limitations in sections 8 or 9 hereof may not apply to you. 

10. Indemnification.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold DFI harmless from any claim, expense or demand, including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of this Terms of Use, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

11. Commercial Use.

Aside from purchase made by you through the Website and/or Application, you acknowledge and agree that the Website and/or Application may not be used by you directly or indirectly in connection with any commercial endeavors.

12. Privacy.

DFI is committed to safeguarding your privacy. The terms regulating the handling of personally identifiable and other information in connection with the Website and Application is described in our Privacy Policy, which can be found http://www.dohafilminstitute.com/legal.

13. Governing Law.

You acknowledge and agree that these Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar, excluding conflict of laws provisions thereof that would indicate the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction and you hereby submit to exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Qatar. You agree to receive service of process through certified mail or by other means sanctioned by law, and you expressly waive any claim of improper venue and any claim that such courts are an inconvenient forum.

14. General.

If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. You agree that this Terms of Use may be automatically assigned by DFI, in its sole discretion, to a third party. Section headings are for reference purposes only and in no way define, limit, construe or describe the scope or extent of such section. Our failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive our right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches. These Terms of Use, along with any other terms and conditions regulating use of the Website and Application, sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between us with respect to the subject matter hereof. The provisions of this Terms of Use and any ancillary terms and conditions will survive termination or expiration to the extent necessary to carry out the intentions of the parties.

How does the Website work?

The Website and Application offer visitors to the Website and/or Application (“you” or “your”) the opportunity to browse the Website and Application and use certain features on the Website and Application. By using the Website and Application, you consent to the collection and use of your information by DFI as described herein. DFI reserves the right to change how we handle the information we collect through the Website and Application at any time. We will update this Privacy Policy to reflect any changes in our privacy collection and handling practices, and will indicate that changes to this Privacy Policy have been made by listing a new date under “Last Modified” at the end of this Privacy Notice. Such changes will take effect immediately once posted to the Website or Application.

What type of PII does DFI collect from you and how do we use it?

DFI does not require you to provide us with any PII. Unless you provide your PII to DFI through the Website and/or Application, we will not collect any PII from you. However, in order to use certain functionality (including, for example, to subscribe to our newsletters) on the Website and Application, to participate in promotions, online competitions, DFI free educational screenings or other DFI offerings that may be made available from time to time or to purchase products such as film tickets through the Website and the Application, you will need to provide certain PII to us.

Under what circumstances may we share your PII?

DFI will share your PII with other entities who work on our behalf or with us (“Receiving Entities”). These Receiving Entities may use your PII to help fulfill your requests in connection with the Website and/or Application and to help us communicate with you about different resources offered as part of the Website and Application. Also, our parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, or entities to which any of our assets, products, sites or operations may be transferred, will be able to use your PII. You hereby consent to us sharing your PII with Receiving Entities and our parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, or entities to which any of our assets, products, sites or operations may be transferred.

On occasion, DFI may share your PII with third parties for marketing purposes. You hereby consent to us sharing your PII with third parties for marketing purposes. If you would rather us not share your PII with any third party for direct marketing purposes, please either (1) do not submit PII to DFI through the Website or Application; or (2) indicate your desire for us not to share your PII with third parties for direct marketing purposes by submitting such a request in writing (an “Opt-Out Request”) to us at: Doha Film Institute, P.O. Please note that it may take time for us to comply with your Opt-Out Request and, in the interim, we may continue to use your PII as described in this Privacy Policy. In addition, please note that after receiving your Opt-Out Request, we may continue to maintain your name and other PII to help us ensure we can honor such request, to communicate to you about your account, and for other purposes not related to direct marketing.

If we receive your Opt-Out Request after having shared your PII with a third party, DFI may not be able to control use of such PII by such third party (or any other party to whom such third party may have transferred your PII). In such an event you agree that DFI shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for damages or loss caused or alleged to be caused in connection with the use of such PII by any such third party or resulting from any such transfer or disposition. If you are concerned about DFI sharing your PII with third parties or otherwise transferring or disposing your PII, you should not provide your PII to DFI. We may also release your PII to third parties if we believe such release is necessary (i) to comply with the law (e.g., a legal process or a statutory authorization), (ii) to apply or enforce our Terms of Use, (iii) to protect our rights or property, (iv) as part of a corporate reorganisation, consolidation, merger, or sale of substantially all of the assets of DFI , or (v) if we reasonably believe that a danger to any person requires disclosure of such PII. You hereby consent to any such disclosure or release of your PII.

What other information does DFI collect?

We also may collect anonymous and aggregate information from you about your preferences in navigating the Website and Application by using cookies, action tags and other methods. Cookies are small text files that identify your computer. We may use cookies or other digital information aggregators to, among other things, monitor Website and Application usage, customize Website and Application features, identify your computer’s operating system and browser, and complete transactions. An action tag is a small, graphic image on a webpage that is designed to allow the website owner or a third party to monitor who is visiting a website by collecting the IP address of the computer to which the tag is sent, the URL of the webpage that the tag comes from and the time that such webpage was viewed. How do we store information?

While we take reasonable efforts to protect PII provided to us, we cannot guarantee that such information will not be lost, disclosed or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the unauthorized acts of others.

Does DFI provide links to other websites?

DFI may provide links to other websites or resources of possible interest to you. Because we have no control over unaffiliated websites to which we provide links, the collection and use of your PII and other information by such websites shall be subject to the policies and procedures of such websites and not this Privacy Policy.

What are our policies regarding children?

You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older in order to use the Website. If you are not 18, please obtain your parents or guardians consent.

DFI FACEBOOK APPLICATIONS TERMS OF USE

1- DFI Now Playing Facebook Application

Doha Film Institute’s Now Playing Cinema Listings application ("DFI Facebook App") is operated and controlled by, or on behalf of, Doha Film Institute, Doha, Qatar ("DFI", "we", "us" and "our").

Viewing and using the DFI Facebook App is subject to your acceptance of the DFI’s Terms of Use http://www.dohafilminstitute.com/legal , Privacy Policy http://www.dohafilminstitute.com/legal and the specific terms below (collectively the "DFI Facebook App Terms"). Please make sure that you read these carefully to make sure that you understand and are happy to agree to them. If you don't agree to the DFI Facebook App Terms, please do not use or interact with the DFI Facebook App.

The DFI Facebook App uses the Facebook platform and you must therefore have a Facebook account to use and interact with the DFI Facebook App; and Facebook's terms of use, guidelines and privacy policies also apply to your use of DFI Facebook App. If there is a conflict between the DFI Facebook App Terms and Facebook's terms and conditions, guidelines and privacy policies then as between you and us, the DFI Facebook App Terms will prevail.

Please note that we reserve the right to change the DFI Facebook App Terms at any time for any reason. Updates to the DFI Facebook App Terms will be set out here (including at the links above) so please ensure you check the DFI Facebook App Terms each time you use the DFI Facebook App as you will be deemed to have accepted the DFI Facebook App Terms as updated.

Specific DFI Facebook App terms:

To use the DFI Facebook App you must be 13 years old or older. If you are under the age of 13 you are not permitted to access or use the DFI Facebook App in any way, or enter into any competition or promotion contained or referenced in the DFI Facebook App.
Upon logging on to DFI Facebook App for the first time DFI Facebook App will ask permission to access information from your Facebook profile. This includes:
a. your Basic Information (which includes your name, profile pictures, user name, and other information forming your Basic Account Information on Facebook);
b. your Profile Information (including your birthday, groups, hometown, likes, and location etc.); and c. your Photos.
When you share content from DFI Facebook App we will also attribute the shared link to you so that we can learn more about how our users share DFI Facebook App content and how people respond to such shared links.

You promise to us that: (i) you will not use any other Facebook account except your own to access the DFI Facebook App; (ii) you will not disable or attempt to disable or circumvent any digital rights management or other security technology included in the DFI Facebook App; or (iii) send any computer viruses or other harmful code or otherwise interrupt or attempt to interrupt or access the DFI Facebook App. You understand that if you hack into or interfere with the DFI Facebook App or any connected software or databases you may be breaking the law.
For the avoidance of doubt, the DFI Facebook App (including all content in the DFI Facebook App, including, but not limited to, images, photographs and/or videos generated which we permit you to download shall remain at all times our property and/or the property of our licensors and protected by copyright law and other intellectual property laws throughout the world. All rights are reserved in the DFI Facebook App (and all content contained in the same) by us and our licensors, including the right to protect our rights in the event of any violation of our rights.
You are permitted to visit and use the DFI Facebook App and any content created by the DFI Facebook App solely for your own personal non-commercial use; however, any copying, reproduction or any other form of distribution of the DFI Facebook App (or any content within DFI Facebook App, including but not limited to film stills, other images, movie trailers and other content) other than in accordance with these DFI Facebook App Terms or the DFI Facebook App functionality, by you or any third party, is prohibited and will constitute a copyright infringement.
Please note that we may discontinue DFI Facebook App at any time and/or terminate your use of the DFI Facebook App for any reason. The DFI Facebook App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" and we don't give any promises, whether express or implied, to you. We also limit our liability to you. 2- DFI Facebook Movie Mosaic Game

Doha Film Institute’s Movie Mosaic application ("DFI Facebook App") is operated and controlled by, or on behalf of, Doha Film Institute, Doha, Qatar ("DFI", "we", "us" and "our").

Viewing and using the DFI Facebook App is subject to your acceptance of the DFI’s Terms of Use http://www.dohafilminstitute.com/legal, Privacy Policy http://www.dohafilminstitute.com/legal and the specific terms below (collectively the "DFI Facebook App Terms"). Please make sure that you read these carefully to make sure that you understand and are happy to agree to them. If you don't agree to the DFI Facebook App Terms, please do not use or interact with the DFI Facebook App.

The DFI Facebook App uses the Facebook platform and you must also have a Facebook account to use and interact with the DFI Facebook App; and Facebook's terms of use, guidelines and privacy policies also apply to your use of DFI Facebook App. If there is a conflict between the DFI Facebook App Terms and Facebook's terms and conditions, guidelines and privacy policies then as between you and us, the DFI Facebook App Terms will prevail.

Specific DFI Facebook App terms:

To use the DFI Facebook App you must be 13 years old or older. If you are under the age of 13 you are not permitted to access or use the DFI Facebook App in any way, or enter into any competition or promotion contained or referenced in the DFI Facebook App.

When you share content from DFI Facebook App we will also attribute the shared link to you so that we can learn more about how our users share DFI Facebook App content and how people respond to such shared links.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY INTO ANY GAME CONTAINED WITHIN THE DFI FACEBOOK APP (individually and collectively the “Game”)

Eligibility. An entry to the Game is open to residents of the State of Qatar only. Entry to participate in the Game is through https://www.facebook.com/DohaFilmInstitute/app_291630437623041. Entrants may participate in the Game as many number of times as required, but are only eligible to win the Game a total of 3 (three) times.

Participation. Contestants may participate in the Game and submit their response to DFI during the Game Period through the response mechanisms as set out in Paragraph 1 above and in the manner as may be required by DFI.
The Game Period. Each game is open for 24 hours during the Doha Tribeca Film Festival 2012 (the “Festival”) and for one (1) week for any games that are open after the Festival.
Prize Winners. The aim of the Game is to complete a puzzle of a still image taken from a movie in the quickest amount of time. The top three contestants with the quickest times shall be declared the winners of the Game (the “Winner(s)”). Each Winner will receive a pair of tickets to DFI’s year-round screenings (the “Prize(s)”).
Restrictions and Exclusions for Prize. The Prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Prizes not claimed within 24 hours will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner unless otherwise stated. DFI reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal value for any other Prize. All Prizes are awarded "AS IS" and “WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose)”. In the event any of the Prize Winners does not accept or agree to the terms as stated herein, the Prizes shall remain with DFI who on its sole discretion may offer the same to the next eligible winner.
The Game Rules. Each Contestant is only entitled to win up to three (3) Game(s) within any 12-month period.
Contestant Information. Contestant’s personally identifiable information (“PII”) will be collected to enable DFI to administer and promote the Game and its winners. The PII of winners may be provided to others assisting DFI in this regard, including the Prize suppliers and deliverers, and to authorities that regulate the Game. If a Contestant does not truthfully provide all requested PII, DFI may solely determine that such Contestant shall not be eligible to win a Prize in the Game. Any incomplete, inaudible or incomprehensible entries may be disqualified from the Game at the sole discretion of DFI.
Facebook Disclaimer. This Game is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. You understand that you are providing information (including PII) to DFI and not to Facebook. The Contestant hereby releases Facebook from any and all liability, howsoever arising, that may result from Contestant’s participation in the Game.
DFI Disclaimer. DFI and its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any disruptions to the Game, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of DFI; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Game.
