Synopsis

Voiced by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ is a family-friendly animated film that is an imaginative trip into a universe like no other.

At the arcade, all the action happens after closing time, when the characters from the video games come to life behind the screens in their own colourful world. Just like in the games, however, in this realm the “good guys” get all the perks and the “bad guys” get none – even though when the games power down, these so-called villains are far from being the cruel characters the outside world knows them as. This is Wreck-It Ralph’s problem: he is three metres tall and known for demolishing buildings, so Fix-It Felix, the game’s hero, gets all the love.

Determined to prove he can be a good guy too, Ralph breaks the rules and travels between games, intent on winning a medal of his own. He manages to get his prize, but this is only the beginning of his journey. His real challenge comes when he has to help Vanellope, a young outcast who dreams of winning the top trophy in Sugar Rush, her candy-coated kart-racing game. Ralph’s adventures, however, have consequences far bigger than he realises, and he puts the entire arcade at risk of GAME OVER.
