Synopsis
Life comes to shattering standstill for a little girl when she loses her “Baaje” (grandfather). Heartbroken, she finds some comfort in her grandfather’s old cupboard with which she plays in regularly. Shot in Nepal, ‘Baaje’ is a film about love, friendship and the everlasting companionship of two soulmates. Through the inseparable bond between a grandfather and his granddaughter, we see the permanence of love undeterred by the impermanence of the physical.
About the Director
Having been a part of the Bombay film industry for over a decade now, eminent choreographer duo Uma-Gaiti are professionally trained in contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, Latin American and Indian dance forms. Together, they have produced and directed over 40 movie scores, music videos and commercials, as well as choreographing several reality shows. “Baaje” is their first shot film, which they wrote, produced and directed.
