Our internships serve as an entry point to Qatar’s rapidly growing film industry, providing real-world vocational training that has launched numerous careers over the years. Many of our past interns have gone on to secure roles at prominent production houses, such as Resolution Films, The Edge Picture Company, and The Film House.

Presentation Team
We are excited to announce that our film presentation team is now accepting applications for their new internship programme. This is an incredible opportunity for those who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the field of film projection and presentation.
Successful applicants will get the chance to:
- Learn the nuanced art of film presentation.
- Gain a deep understanding of digital projection.
- Experience the inner workings of a cinema theatre.
- Get hands-on training in the operation of DCP/digital projectors.

Qatari Film Fund (QFF)
The Qatari Film Fund (QFF) is a cornerstone initiative of Doha Film Institute, dedicated to developing and promoting Qatari filmmaking talent. Since its inception in 2015, the QFF has been instrumental in supporting local filmmakers, helping them refine their skills and bring their unique stories to the global stage.
Through the QFF, up to four feature films and eight short films receive funding each year, covering development, production, and post-production. The QFF provides not only financial assistance but also mentoring and professional guidance to ensure these projects reach their full potential.
QFF has played a pivotal role in the evolution of Qatar’s film industry, offering young filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their talent both locally and internationally. By investing in Qatari storytellers, the QFF contributes to Qatar’s growing influence in world cinema, aligning with the country’s National Vision 2030 by promoting cultural expression and economic diversification through the creative industries.
Upcoming Roles
Production
We are currently seeking five volunteer interns to join the production team of ‘Light to Ashes’, an exciting new short film supported by the Qatari Film Fund. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in casting and production, working closely with industry experts.

Working Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 10 am – 6 pm
