The Fin
Spring Grants 2024 - Post-Production Stage
Synopsis
In a reunified Korea, scarred by an ecological disaster, oppressed Omegas with their fish-like mutations are segregated and exploited as a cheap workforce to clean the toxic oceans. One Omega embarks on a risky escape to honour a colleague’s dying request to find his daughter, Mia. In a society built on populism and mistrust, Mia and the Omega soon attract the attention of Sujin, a newly recruited government worker. As Sujin delves deeper into the lives and struggles of the Omegas, she begins to question her once ardent belief in the state’s ideologies and values.
