Synopsis
Mamun, 15, is not like other teenagers. When his phone—an Oppo—is stolen, his father, Mourad, refuses to let it go. That night, he drags Mamun through the streets of their Casablanca neighborhood, determined to track down the thief. Othman, a reluctant witness, names a boy their age—Roubio—as the culprit.
But the search for the Oppo quickly turns into something else. For Mourad, it is not just about retrieving a stolen object—it is about proving that his son is normal, that he can fight back, and that he won’t be humiliated. And Mamun, caught between fear and a desperate need for his father’s approval, struggles to become the son Mourad wants him to be.

About the Director
Youssef Michraf was born in Casablanca, Morocco. He studied Cinema and Audiovisual Studies at La Sorbonne before joining the Directing Department at La Fémis. His short films have been screened at international festivals, including the Namur International Francophone Film Festival and the Durban International Film Festival. He is currently developing his first feature film, Sweet Disposition, which won the ArteKino Prize at the Atlas Workshops of the Marrakech International Film Festival.
