The Burden (Min Börda)
Ajyal Competition - Ajyal Youth Film Festival 2017
Synopsis
Perhaps the first stop-motion animation, existential black comedy/musical film on record, ‘The Burden’ is a very dark look at the platitudes of contemporary existence – and how to avoid thinking about them. From the fish who populate a long-stay hotel to the monkeys who man the phones of a call centre, everyone has a song to sing or a dance routine to execute – all in the name of alleviating boredom and avoiding any consideration of existential meaning.
