Synopsis

War has plagued humanity throughout history, but today it is spoken of in terms of politics, of strategy, of territories lost or recaptured. ‘Dead Horses’ presents a vision of wartime on the ground from the point of view of a bewildered child. From this place of naiveté, war is experienced as strange iron birds, giant eggs that make mud splashes, a pile of sticks that was once a village, mysterious dead horses. But even an innocent child knows when death is near.
